What is the RCHA-UK

RCHA-UK is a new organisation setup to facilitate the advancement of Radio Controlled Helicopter hobby throughout the UK from beginners to competition level. We are focused on its members needs and aim to ensure that the members get the best support where possible.

We believe that safety is paramount in our hobby and encourage all members to take every precaution to ensure that are flying safely and have respect for the fellow flyers and surrounding areas.

Principally RCHA-UK aims to provide all our members with adequate insurance cover, this cover is not solely for helicopter disciplines and as covers pilots of ALL disciplines. The proceeds of this are used to facilitate our hobby's growth through various activities and associations.

50% of the surplus from the association will go towards helping raising the profile of the hobby by assisting events in the UK such as 3D Champs as well as Scale / FAi.

15% to assist in a Schools programme - looking for corporate partners to work on a 1:1 level helping the kids to find an appreciation for radio controlled helicopter.

15% To assistance in marketing and setup costs for year 1. Year 2 is envisioned that this fund will reduce by 5%, the 5% going to assisting the clubs.

8% Assigned to a club fund to assist in funding towards - planning applications / legal needs / local awarness.

6% To be split between three regional charties focused on disability and sport.

6% To be kept in reserve for contingency.

We do not intend to make excessive profits, but we do intend to make a nominal profit each year. Firstly, we need to do this to show to the principal insurer that we are solvent. Secondly, we need to create a small reserve for and future developments be it systems, national event or international event held in the UK.
